THE windows in medium of artistic expressions, over the ages, keep expanding basic traditional formats, even in 21st century digital era. Such resilience of the art-making process further finds validation in Iramofu Oseh's artwork in which he experiments with the two fundamental windows of line and light.
Oseh's artwork featuring spiritual and cosmic themes carries some contention and ambiguity in their abstract and representational expressionist approach. More interesting about his works is the way in which the artist takes the challenge of digital intrusion in visual culture. Just like other art in digital form, Oseh's creations dare to venture into the expanding domain of art creation beyond the conventional painting on canvas window.
Whether in drawing, painting, sculpture, and other aspects of fine art, line and light have been shown to be among the basic components in making art. With light from the camera as an instrument, Oseh creates what would be regarded as pseudo-photographic work within the context of painting. The artist's works celebrate the beauty of light when intimidated and dominated by darkness, analogously and through congruity. An example of the former can be seen in The Shattered Genesis where Oseh uses the idea of light for generating form from line source.
In Oseh's The Shattered Genesis, the origin of line from an anonymous dark spot, travelling in the space to create forms and generate light of colours ends up in representing a dramatic scene. From many Oseh's works, The Shattered Genesis looks like a conclusion of series as the artwork presents the result of some journey, probably, a legacy. Highlighting legacy as the key focus of the theme is the deliberate journey of the light, regardless of the speed or pace. Specifically, the straightforward journey of the light reaching its destination and creating a chaotic form confirms the legacy theme of the artist.
Oseh's The Shattered Genesis presenting explosive images carries a metaphor in spirituality of breaking the barriers and achieving success against all the impossibilities. As an artwork, the graphic movement of a line in this painting to generate fractals and create a form is not only aesthetically attractive but also carries a motivational message.
While digitally-generated art, like Oseh's works, being presented as painting, could fall into the net of what critics describe as "escapism art", it will be unfair to gloss over the aesthetics of some works in the electronic genre. Through the lens of critical appreciation, the aesthetics in digital art, sometimes, is the attraction as well as the theme and philosophical drive of the artist.
Without studio palette, Oseh's digital brushings thrive on aesthetics value, combined with critical appreciation. Other artworks of the artist that escalate the complexity of digital creativity include The Collective Echo, and Soft Collapse. Irrespective of whatever anyone suspects about the sustainability of digital painting, on the mainstream art appreciation space, Oseh's works suggest reason to celebrate non-traditional art pieces.
Interestingly, what is the texture of artist Oseh? Iramofu Oseh's biography describes him as "a fine art photographer whose practice explores the expressive possibilities of light as both medium and subject."
Oseh's speciality lies in photography in the application of light for creating paintings. In this regard, the bio explains that Oseh uses the power of movement, illumination, and atmosphere to create visually engaging and immersive artwork.
Apart from his art creations, Oseh is also noted as a curator, his biography indicates. For instance, Oseh is quoted as having recently co-curated Artist's Table, a project marked on April 15, 2026, to commemorate World Art Day.
