Preparatory to the third photography festival,
LagosPhoto 2012, the organiser, African Artists Foundation (AAF) had the first
edition of what it tagged LagosPhoto Fundraiser.

Held at Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos it featured exhibition and auction
of select works of previous participants. The auction, AAF said “is a record sales in contemporary Nigerian
photography.”
LagosPhoto is a yearly photography event in Lagos, Nigeria.
Launched in October 2010, LagosPhoto is the numero
uno and only international arts festival of photography genre in Nigeria.
The 2012 edition opens on October 13 at the Eko Hotel &
Suites, featuring nine satellite exhibition venues,
simultaneously, including the AAF, White Space, Nimbus Gallery, Omenka Gallery,
Muri Okunola Park, University of Lagos, Falomo Roundabout, and the
Owonoronshoki-Alapere Median.
