Tour exhibition, 'Adesuwa Africa' arrives Lambeth Archives

DEDICATED to promoting culture and heritage through various initiatives, including art exhibitions, workshops, and community events, Adesuwa Africa opens at Lambeth Archives, 16 Brixton Hill, London SW2 1ET, U K, on May 12, 5:45 PM - 7:45 PM; and 17, 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM, 2025.

Featuring paintings, drawings by hyperrealism artist,  Melody Osagie; and digital art illustrator, Sonia Ogbebor, the Adesuwa Africa exhibition got its inspiration from quite a number of women professionals across diverse fields. Such Inspirational Icons include Amina Mohammed, Chimamanda Adichie, Daisy Danjuma, Folorunsho Alakija, Ibukun Awosika, Kamala Harris, Lupita Nyong’o, Mae Jemison, and Meghan Markle. Others include Melinda French Gates, Michelle Obama, Mo Abudu, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Nike Davies-OkunDaye, Olori Atuwatse III, Oluremi Tinubu, Oprah Winfrey, Queen Aizinga, Simone Biles, Sirleaf Johnson, Tariye Gbadegesin, Tems, and Tokunboh Ismael.

With Philip Norman, a volunteer researcher for Lambeth Archives, the exhibition is curated by U.K-based couple, Kede and Esosa Aihie. The curators said the exhibition "is ongoing till May 17, after which it goes to another borough in London."
